As sanctioned by her son, Peter Ford, this Eleanor Powell site is the official tribute to Classic Hollywood's Greatest Tap Dancer and one of MGM's Greatest Stars of the 1930s and 1940s. Eleanor Powell graced the silver screen with her beauty and talent and tap danced her way into our hearts.

newOn October 4 - 6 Auction of Eleanor Powell and Glenn Ford Estate

Glenn Ford and Eleanor Powell's son, Peter, is auctioning alot of his parents' estate with Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas. (www.ha.com/entertainment). Included in this group are a pair of Powell's dancing shoes as well as her baby grand piano, given to her by King Vidor and used to play "Here comes the Bride" when she and Glenn married. Also included are many of Glenn Ford items. These are great items that deserve to belong to fans! There is also an interview from Peter Ford discussing these items he's auctioning.
