Bringing Up Baby, was one of the films that produced the famous
labeling of Kate as "box office poison". Although it is
today considered to be a classic of screwball comedy, at the time
of its release, it was not well received. One can only guess that
audiences of the time were unprepared for this zany madcap story line.
Cary Grant starred as the shy anthropologist, David Huxley who falls
victim to Susan Vance's affections, played beautifully by Kate. The
story revolves around Susan's attempts to keep David from marrying,
a lost dinosaur bone and a leopard named Baby. |

Its
madcap comic situations are priceless and hilarious. Together, Cary
and Kate made a great team that make this film worth viewing.
