| Sergeant Victor comes to the French Foreign Legion after taking
the blame for his brother's crime. Cigarette, played by Claudette
Colbert falls in love with him though Major Doyle, played by
Victor McGlaughlin is in love with her. Doyle sends Victor on
dangerous assignments to be rid of him. Sgt. Victor falls in
love with Lady Venetia Cunningham, played by Rosalind Russel,
in an early role who is a visitor to the garrison.
