Joan Crawford

Joan Crawford was the ultimate movie star with a reputation that followed her to her grave. She was always known for being difficult to work with, but was considered a hard worker and a true professional. Unfortunately, this reputation for being difficult was further emphasized by her adopted daughter’s book in which we saw an even more terrifying image of her.

Whatever you believe or think of Joan, she was still the epitome of the word “movie star”. A true professional who, with her humble beginnings, was versatile enough to possess a genuine glamour that allowed her star to shine for over 45 years.

Regardless of what is said of her personally, I still think she is a great actress and personality who deserves our continued recognition. This section of CMF devoted to her will focus on her professional career only and does not wish to add fuel to the flame of controversy about her treatment of her adopted children.

  1. I am trying to find the name of a movie starring Joan Crawford and Glenn Ford – her character was that of a typist – she was typing manuscripts – he was a younger man who wooed and married her – but as time goes on, it appears he is misrepresenting himself, lying, etc. Also starred Lorne Green. It aired recently on CineMoi but the name of the movie was not listed – I taped it but did not get the full movie. Does anyone know the name of this movie?
